About me

I was diagnosed with M.E. and was completely bedridden for months.

However, having lectured in Health and Social Care, I had an understanding of what was happening in my body and the steps I could take to improve my wellbeing.

After returning to work a year later, I experienced a relapse and was later diagnosed with CFS. Specialists told me I would never fully return to my previous state, and that I needed to accept my condition and adapt my life around it.

However, through perseverance and learning what my body needed, I made progress. The experience of the relapse and consultations with specialists taught me invaluable lessons about what it takes to maintain better health.

I wrote my book Breaking Free during lockdown because I wanted to offer support and hope to people with Long Covid, showing them they were not alone.

The book shares my personal journey, and I also created the Reset to Thrive programme to further support individuals on their own paths.

Since then, our wonderful community has grown to share experiences, offer support, and encourage one another by sharing personal stories and insights on what has helped them along the way.

The programme helps you understand how brain signals and neural connections influence the body and the autonomic nervous system.

It teaches you how to recognise patterns that may affect your wellbeing and offers exercises to support better regulation of your system. You’ll learn how to create a nurturing environment that encourages balance and helps the body function more effectively. The programme shows you how to develop skills for responding to life in a way that supports relaxation and overall wellbeing.

Reset to Thrive provides tools and techniques to help manage stress responses and promote a more balanced state. Based on research into the autonomic system, it helps you understand how sensations like fatigue or brain fog can be linked to stress responses and offers ways to support the body’s natural balance.

The programme offers LIFETIME ACCESS to 54 online teaching videos, designed to help you understand and support your wellbeing through various resources.

The Reset to Thrive programme includes 54 worksheets to accompany the videos, helping you track your progress and deepen your understanding. You’ll also receive free mini-courses on breathing, yoga, and somatic exercises to support your learning.

As part of the programme, you’ll have access to monthly live webinars with me, Jan, the creator of the programme, and occasional guest speakers to further enhance your learning. These sessions are available for a small fee of £10 each.

We also offer Peer Support groups at a nominal cost, and you can participate in a buddy system for ongoing support and accountability.

You will also have the option to access one-to-one coaching with myself or other trained coaches, as well as support from a functional medicine practitioner, if needed.

Additionally, yoga and breathing classes, led by our highly trained teacher, Sophie Colyer, can be a valuable part of your learning journey.

Many find it beneficial to take a gentle, slow approach, working through the content in smaller steps to allow time for processing and practice until the techniques feel more natural.

Alternatively, some prefer a more intensive approach, focusing on quickly integrating and practicing the resources to establish supportive routines.

You can move through the videos and materials at a pace that suits you best.

We also offer a fast-track live online training course led by the program creator, Jan. This intensive small group format covers the full program over 15-20 hours with individualised coaching in interactive sessions. Participation in the live course is subject to a private consultation to ensure it's the right fit for your current readiness.

Yes, absolutely. The duration of your symptoms is less important than the extent to which certain patterns, such as limiting beliefs, fear, or physical sensations, may have become established.

Many people develop these patterns relatively early on. Often, individuals haven't understood their experiences or why they felt so unwell, sometimes feeling resigned to a limited lifestyle.

Our program offers tools and strategies to help you understand your experiences and develop new ways of responding, supporting you in making positive changes regardless of how long you've been experiencing symptoms or patterns associated with a dysregulated system.

You can choose to progress slowly, integrating the material gradually.

Alternatively, once you learn the tools and feel ready, you might feel motivated to put everything into practice and integrate the strategies more quickly. Progress is individual.

We encourage joining live webinars for peer support, as connection is valuable. One-to-one coaching, including somatic embodiment coaching, can also be very helpful, especially if patterns are deeply ingrained, to guide you through the program and support you in feeling safer and more comfortable in your body and with your sensations.

It is always essential to consult your GP for necessary tests to rule out any medical cause or physical damage.

Individuals diagnosed with conditions like chronic fatigue, burnout, or Long Covid will typically have undergone diagnostic tests to check for biomedical imbalances or damage. It is crucial that you have all recommended tests. When results come back clear, this indicates that common medical causes or physical damage have been ruled out by these tests.

While it is essential to rule out medical causes with your GP, our program is based on the understanding that prolonged stress or illness can sometimes lead to patterns where the body remains in a heightened state, impacting well-being and energy levels.

We explore how these patterns might relate to symptoms like chronic fatigue, exhaustion, or difficulty recovering, and provide tools to help you develop new responses and support your system's regulation.

Please note: People experiencing respiratory or heart symptoms must access support from qualified medical practitioners for these conditions.

The online program is a self-guided training course requiring active engagement and practice of the recommendations and exercises.

Many individuals find it sufficient on its own, as they gained valuable understanding and learned practical tools to help manage their symptoms and support their well-being.

However, some may benefit from additional support, such as one-to-one coaching, live sessions, webinars, or small group online teaching.

Furthermore, if you have experienced trauma, particularly from childhood, the program can be beneficial but may not be sufficient on its own. We offer access to in-house coaches trained in modalities like NLP Re-imprinting, parts work, and Timeline Therapy, as well as Somatic Embodiment Practitioners specializing in trauma support. Other carefully selected therapists may also be available. Addressing past experiences can help individuals engage more fully and effectively with the program's resources.

All participants receive a range of free mini-series on topics like vagal exercises, somatic work, and other therapeutic or well-being approaches to further support your journey towards your goals.
